Make a magical fairy garden
new lgp kwecreleasepic
A terraced fairy garden was one of the unique gardens created at last years KWEC fairy garden class. Participants in this years class, which takes place April 2, will use their imaginations to create their own gardens.

Where do fairies live? At your house in the fairy garden you’ll create for them, during the Kansas Wetlands Education Center’s fairy garden class, from 2-4 p.m. on April 2.
This class is designed for adults, who may bring children or grandchildren who are at least 8 years old to help with the creative process. It is small, intricate work, so please bear that in mind when bringing children.
Due to the need to order plants two weeks ahead, registration is required by March 17, by calling 1-877-243-9268. The maximum class size is 15. There is a $10 fee for this class.
We’ll use items from nature to create a fairy house from a small gourd, a maple seed dragonfly, moss- or stone- lined paths and more. The only limit is your imagination. We supply the gourds, plants, moss, soil, ceramic mushroom and other items and you supply the container, which can range from regular floral containers to antiques, such as enamelware bowls and pots. The containers should be at least 12 inches wide, but no larger than 18 inches wide. You may also chose between woodland plants (indoor) and succulents (indoor/outdoor). Bring other items you’d like to add too!
