Make a Movement event will help children

The 2016 Make a Movement will take place Saturday at Brit Spaugh Park. It is a fundraiser for the Dell Hayden Memorial Child Advocacy Center for Abused Children, a program of the Family Crisis Center in Great Bend.
There will be a run/walk/bike event starting and ending in the park.
Here is the lineup of events:
• 7:30 a.m. registration for the 5K, 10K and Bike Race
Walkers/runners meet north at side of Brit Spaugh Park by the Zoo entrance.
Bicyclists meet at south side of swimming pool area.
• 8 a.m. Bike Race will begin
• 8:10 a.m. 10K will begin
• 8:15 a.m. 5 K will begin
Presentation of medals immediately following the races.
• 3:30 p.m. registration for the Volleyball Tournament. Meet northeast of ball diamond next to the Zoo.
• 4 p.m. Tournament will begin
• 3:30 p.m. motorcyclists, Shine and Show (car enthusiasts) meet at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo
• 4 p.m. Make a Movement will commence!!
Activities are: Horseback rides, Nex-Tech Train, Bounce Houses, cookie decorating, police car rides and more.
Redneck catering will be cooking up some hotdog meals.
McGilber Bros. will perform from 6-8 p.m.
Freewill donations will be accepted at the entrance. Bring a NEW stuffed animal, blanket or art supplies for children served at the Child Advocacy Center.
