The March 9 Legislative Coffee at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce will feature Dr. Roger Marshall (R-Kansas), congressman representing the Kansas First District. This coffee will start 30 minutes earlier than usual to allow Congressman Marshall to discuss federal issues affecting our community.
Dr. Marshall will speak at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, followed by remarks by Kansas legislators at 10, in the Spray-Holt Family Board Room at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development, 1125 Williams St. The coffee will conclude at 11 a.m.
This is the second of two Legislative Coffee events hosted by the chamber designed to give local constituents the chance to network directly with their elected state officials.
“We invite all of our Kansas representatives and senators who represent Barton County to the coffees,” said Jan Peters, president and CEO of the Chamber. “After a brief update from each legislator who attends, the audience can ask questions about the topics facing our state government.”
Legislative Coffees are open to the public. They are sponsored by Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
