New therapy dog to visit school board

Eisenhower Elementary School has a new Sheepadoodle puppy named Bailey that will be the new school therapy dog. Bailey will be introduced when the Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the District Education Center, 201 S. Patton Road.

Other items on the agenda are recognition of the Perfect Attendance Bike Giveaway Program donors, approval of 2022-2023 choir travel to Washington, D.C., workers compensation insurance, policy revisions, stipends for employees through the federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency (ESSER II) funds, a transportation vehicle update, and an executive session to discuss the latest proposal for increasing the base pay rate for staff.

The consent agenda will include personnel, acceptance of the negotiated agreement, classified pay adjustment, director contracts, administrative contracts, the 2022-2023 fees and meal prices, and the 2021-2022 mileage reimbursement rate for district parents/guardians.
