Abend Brot dinner to be offered

Abend Brot or a German Evening Supper will once again be offered by the Ellinwood Community Historical Society during the Kristkindlmart in Ellinwood on Dec. 6  It will begin in late afternoon until 6 p.m.
During this time you will be able to hear a presentation  describing the famous German personages for whom Ellinwood streets are named.  You will be able to learn about such people as Wilhelm, Arndt, Schiller, Goethe, Bismarck, Wieland, Humboldt. Ellinwood also has German named streets Frtiz, Isern and Hirsch.  
A butcher’s plate or Schlaclteplatte will include meats such as Tyroler Schnicken, Black Forest Ham, Lyoner Bologna, Braunschwager.  These are accompanied by sauerkraut salad, German potato salad and a variety of specialty cheese.  
The Ellinwood Senior Center at 103 N. Mail will have a German theme decor. Everyone is welcome. The cost is $8.
