CLAFLIN —To spend a fall afternoon with family and friends while supporting Barton County kids living with cancer, join the Kasselman family of rural Claflin for the 9th Annual Fall Fun Festival. The birthday wish of 8-year-old Kylee Kasselman in 2006, the festival began as a small event with a petting zoo and activities for children. All of the proceeds from that event were donated to Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation.
Nine years later, Kylee’s wish has remained the same each year, but the event has grown by leaps and bounds.
The 2014 Fall Fun Festival will include (for a 50 cent ticket) four bounce houses and a velcro wall, sack races, Plinko, golf, bowling, a hay jump, candy scramble, pumpkin slingshot, pitcher/pump, duck races, tattoos, a barrel train, and more. Activities for three tickets ($1.50) will include a horse drawn wagon, horse rides, pony cart rides, goat milking and paintball shooting.
Clowns will be available with balloons and pumpkins and gourds grown by the Kasselman family will be for sale.
Concessions for $1 include: hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos, popcorn, snow cones, pop, water, and homemade snacks and cookies.
