RUSSELL — Artists at Barton Community College got a chance to showcase their talents at the annual Russell Original Art Review (ROAR) exhibition at the Russell 4-H Building. The show ran from Oct. 10 through 12. The show had 262 entries from 91 artists from 33 cities.
Barton students and staff received awards. Art instructor Steve Dudek took first place in the professional watercolor division. Barton art student and music instructor Karole Erikson took home first place in digital photography and computer generated digital imagery in the professional division.
Joyce Barker, a painting student from Great Bend, won first place in watercolor painting in the amateur division. Barton art student and Director of Student Life Diane Engle earned honorable mention for digital photography in the professional division and watercolor in the amateur division.
