After prom meeting to be held

ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood High School parents will be having an After Prom meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3 in the Ellinwood Library conference room.

Plans and fundraising are under way for the 2012 After Prom party, and they are looking for volunteers.

Anyone can come on Tuesday to help plan a safe and successful After Prom party. If you are unable to attend please contact Jamie Rowan, Julie Blakeslee or the High School at 564-3136.

Autism awareness workshop to be held

ELLINWOOD — Dr. Catherine Strecker, Ph.D. of Educational Strategies will hold an autism awareness workshop on Jan. 27 from 1-3 p.m. at 17 N. Main in Ellinwood.

Basketball registration now at Ellinwood Rec

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood Recreation Commission is accepting basketball registration until Jan. 6 for girls and boys 3rd-6th grade.

Sign up at the city offices. The cost is $15 per child and includes a T-shirt. Games begin Feb. 4 and will continue until March.

Ellinwood to have blood drive

ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood will host a Red Cross Community Blood Drive from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3 at St. Joseph Parish Center, 110. W 2nd St.

The American Red Cross is the largest blood collection and distribution organization in the United States, providing blood to nearly 3,000 hospitals nationwide.
