HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Chamber of Commerce will hold the first ever "Aloha Hoisington Spring Fling" to celebrate the warmer days of the month with shopping sales and discounts from 5-8 p.m. on March 23.

At the Hoisington Knights of Columbus, 114 N. Main, there will be 20 home -based businesses, including five started through the Hoisington High School entrepreneurship class. These will including baby bottle koozies, Avon, candles, Mobile spray tanning, lip balm, photography, shoes,Tupperware, Usborne Books, purses, spa products and more.

"It will be a fun event," said Stacey Bressler, executive director of the chamber. "The economy has been tough, and we want to stress the importance of shopping locally."

Many of the retail businesses will be open until 8 p.m. as well and offer drawings and specials such as $10 gift certificates, a chair massage and paraffin hand treatment. You can also register to win the grand prize which is a one night stay at the new Cheyenne Bottoms Inn & Suites and gifts certificates to eat, play and shop in Hoisington. The drawing for the winner will be held on March 26. You can register once at each location. You must be over 18 to win.
