CLAFLIN —Last month, Claflin EMS personnel were dispatched for two patient assist calls, a traumatic injury, a patient having chest pain, a patient with an altered mental status, a cardiac/respiratory arrest, and two transfers.
 Last month Claflin Fire crews responded to assist EMS crews on three medical emergencies and a tank battery fire.
In other news, Claflin Fire and EMS personnel met twice in April to clean, maintain, and train with equipment and vehicles.  Training sessions included practicing pump and roll operations and utilizing CPAP and 12 and 15 lead ecg.
