CPHS addition
USD 112 School Board has approved an addition to Central Plains High School-Claflin at its regular meeting on Monday. The weight/conditioning room will be 40 ft. by 80 ft. and will be situated on the west side of the gym, connected with a passageway. The restrooms building will be 20 ft. by 20 ft. and be situated just east of the concession stand by the football field. The roof from the restrooms will extend over to the old concession stand. The current weight room area is on a balcony - not the safest place. Also, the area is too small for the equipment they have and when there are special activities in the gym the equipment must be moved for seating in the gym. The current restrooms are substandard and not ADA compliant. CPHS has been waiting a long time for these improvements, said Superintendent of USD 112 Jim Runge.
