BUSHTON —Central Plains Middle School – Bushton was honored as one of the top performing middle schools in the state at a recent Kansas Association of Middle School Administrator State Conference in May.
They went undefeated in 8th grade athletics in everything for the year, and they have performed at a high level academically. A Renaissance program designed to reward, recognize, respect, and reinforce academic achievement was started this year in that school.
Plaques were given to the 14 Exemplary Middle Schools in Kansas: Andover Middle School, Atchison Middle School; Central Plains Middle School - Bushton, Cheney Middle School, Clark Middle School; Bonner Springs, Clay Center Middle School, Doniphan West Middle School, Eisenhower Middle School Goddard, Girard Middle School, Hiawatha Middle School; Prairie Hills Middle School Buhler, Spring Hill Middle School, Tonganoxie Middle School and Turner Middle School.
