Ellinwood Middle and High School students were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Ellinwood Food Bank and stack them to fill space outside each teachers door. If the space was filled students earned a seminar day in that class next week. Pictured above is Stephanie Toyer. I think the food drive is a great way to get students involved in donating to those less fortunate than us. It gives kids a good incentive to be involved since they get a free day if they fill the space, she said. Its for such a good cause, and my students have worked really hard so far. I dont mind giving them some free time right before a break as a little incentive to help our community, said JulieAnn Jacobs, teacher.
