Potato Bar/Chili Soup fundraiser to be held

ELLINWOOD — Potato Bar/Chili Soup will be served by the Ellinwood After Prom Parents on Friday, Feb. 1 during the Homecoming games at EHS.
The cost will be $3 for a Baked Potato or $3 for Chili Soup.  It starts at 5 p.m. and will be served until it’s gone.


City Council holds brief Monday meeting

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood City Council approved a request from Dennis Lebbin who lives out of the area to construct a 50 x 80 building at the Ellinwood Airport. It will not be used for aircraft but will be for personal use.
The council approved the request including a lot area of 100 x150 on which the building will sit. He will lease the property from the city rental charged on a square foot basis for the entire lot. The lease will be a 25 year lease with a 10 year option for renewal.  
Rent adjustments will be made on the same basis as the rental for the other privately owned buildings at the airport.  If Lebbin builds on the property, it is also his intention to move to Ellinwood.
