AHF theme needed

ELLINWOOD —The After Harvest Festival is fast approaching, and the Ellinwood Rotary Club is seeking assistance for this year’s AHF parade theme. Start brainstorming and come up with ideas for this year’s theme.
This year is the 40th consecutive year for the After Harvest Festival.
Previous themes have been about anniversaries of the community as well as state and national events.
Some themes have been about the industries of oil and/or wheat that are so important for this area. The community has also celebrated with themes on current events.
This year’s theme is open to the imaginations of residents. Submit ideas to Ellinwood Rotary Club,  in care of Rosie Joiner, P. O. Box 23, Ellinwood, Kansas 67526 or e-mail joinerro@ embarqmail.com. Deadline for entries is April 15.

Educational Strategies to hold two education workshops
ELLINWOOD — Educational Strategies, 108 N. Main, is holding two continuing education workshops. The Parkinson’s class is from 10 a.m. to noon on April 5 and costs $25. Nurses and social workers will receive two continuing education credits.
The Alzheimer’s class will be from 1-4 p.m. on April 5 and costs $45. Nurses and social workers will receive four continuing education units. Both classes combined costs $65.
