ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood Country Living Memory Care and Home Plus has added some new features to its services. They are now offering memory care for individuals with confusion, wandering or dementia.

"These types of patients do better in a smaller home," said Kara Brauer, registered nurse. ECL is a home-like residential setting with eight individual rooms. Each room has its own bathroom, with shared dining and kitchen.

"We can care for everyone," she said. "The facilities have been recently updated.

"The people who live here get a very, very high quality of care," said Brauer. They have two openings.

They provide assistance to those that need help with housekeeping, healthy meals, laundry or medication assistance. They also provide Adult Day Care and Respite Care services.

A nurse is on-call at all times.

They cannot take patients who need skilled nursing intervention 24 hours a day such as IVs or continuous suction or any behavioral symptoms that exceed manageability.
