ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood is hosting a “fall frolic” of sorts on Saturday, Oct. 5.
“It started as a city wide garage sale and after a series of conversations it evolved into something wonderful,” said J. Basil Dannebohm, Chamber of Commerce administrator.
The City-Wide Garage Sale will feature garage sales throughout Ellinwood.
As part of the Fall Frolic, the Peddler’s Market will return after a hiatus. Bakers, craftsmen and artisans are encouraged to take part in the event which will be held in downtown Ellinwood. To register, email the Chamber at ellinwoodchamber@hotmail.com. The cost is $10 for Chamber member and $20 for non-members. Ellinwood businesses will use the Peddler’s Market as an opportunity for a sidewalk sale.
Lenny Thomas with Walk on the Moon inflatables will be hosting a Kid’s Fair at the American Legion. All of the proceeds will benefit the Fire Escape youth center. Thomas also asks that individuals bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Food Bank. The fair will include inflatables and a host of other fun games.
The morning starts off with exercise - a walk will be held in coordination with Ellinwood District Hospital to celebrate the beginning of Physical Therapy Awareness Month.
