at time of year again for Hoisington Main Street Inc. to have the annual Valentine’s Day Dinner to celebrate that special someone all without leaving Hoisington.
The Knights of Columbus Hall, 114 N. Main, will be transformed with decorations. “How elegant it looked (last year),” said Jean Brinlee, director of HMSI. With some tulle, table decorations, satin chair covers and a few bows, the evening became a special event.
High school students will be serving, dressed formally with cumberbands. “People will be served at the table,” she said. People are also shown to their table.
The dinner will be from 5-8 p.m. on Feb. 10 at the KOC Hall. Ribeye or chicken breast will be served along with cheesy potatoes, green beans and homemade rolls, catered by Casual Cuisine. Paul Woydziak will be grilling the steaks. The cost is $25 per person with any attire acceptable.
In addition, there will be a dark chocolate fountain and a milk chocolate fountain with fruits and snacks for dipping.
Barton Community College’s Hilltop Singers will provide entertainment along with Bill Marcellus on the keyboard.
Babysitting will be offered at the First United Methodist Church from 5-8 p.m. for a free will donation.
“Last year we had 13 children,” said Brinlee.
They are only selling 150 tickets and they can be purchased at HMSI, Gambinos, First Kansas Bank, Wilson State Bank, Landmark Bank and Manweiler Chevrolet.
Also new this year will be Shutterly Fabulous Photography will be there to take portraits at a reasonable cost.
This is the second year of the fundraiser which goes towards the operating costs of HMSI. Call 620-653-2208 for more information.
