BARTON COUNTY — Ellinwood and Hoisington both have several positions on the city council open in the April 3 election. The deadline to file was Tuesday, Jan. 24 at noon.
In addition, Incumbent Richard Kimple is running for reelection as a board trustee for Ellinwood District Hospital.
Claflin does not currently have any positions up for reelection.
Hoisington
The Hoisington City Council filings are:
•Ward 1, Paul Mater and Nancy Farmer
•Ward 2, Incumbent, Jim Sekavec
•Ward 3, Incumbent, Karen VanBrimmer
•Ward 4, Incumbent, Brian Wilborn and Chris Price
Current Ward 1 Council Member Mandy Urban is not running for reelection.
Ellinwood
Currently running for at-large positions for the Ellinwood City Council are: Incumbent Kirk Clawson, Kathleen Hines, Incumbent Branden Rapp and Incumbent Rick Wilson.
