HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Task Force aimed at the prevention of underage drinking, is meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the District Office, 165 W. 3rd in Hoisington.

The meeting is scheduled to discuss the next steps the group will take to spread awareness on the dangers of underage drinking.

Task Force leader and Hoisington Middle School Principal Pat Reinhardt is extending an invitation to community leaders, parents and youth who would like to attend.

The group is made up with members from the Barton County Sheriffs Department, Barton County Juvenile Services, The Regional Prevention Center, LEAD, Barton County Health Department, Central Kansas Partnership, USD 431, USD 428, Reno County Communities That Care, and HMS and HHS parents.

The Hoisington Task Force was formed last fall when the group was awarded a grant aimed at the prevention of underage drinking and changing the ‘favorable attitude’s many teens have regarding underage drinking. For more information, contact Reinhardt at 620-653-4951.
