Development screening Oct. 7

HOISINGTON — A development screening for youngsters birth through age 2 is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 460 W. 9th St. The free screening measures whether youngsters are meeting development milestones.

The screening is sponsored by the Sunflower Early Education Center, Great Bend. For appointments, call (620) 792-4087.

Claflin Fire and EMS hold annual open house

CLAFLIN — The Claflin Fire and EMS Services will hold the annual Open House from 7 -11 a.m. on Oct. 8.

They will serve an al lyou can eat pancake and sausage breakfast that is available from 7 -10 a.m. The cost is a free will donation.

Hoisington chamber to host breakfast benefit

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a breakfast benefit at the Hoisington Activity Center, 1200 Susank Rd., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 9.

This fundraiser will benefit the Hoisington Christmas Lighting program. Chamber volunteers will be serving ham, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and fruit cups, along with coffee and orange juice. A freewill donation is suggested. Everyone is welcome.
