BARTON COUNTY — In December, a new billboard advertising the Kansas Wetlands Education Center was installed on Interstate 70 to attract travelers to the Center and Cheyenne Bottoms.
The 12 foot by 30 foot bill-board is for westbound traffic and located at Exit 307, which is about 10 miles east of Junction City.
“We have always wanted to establish a KWEC presence on I-70 for travelers,” explained Curtis Wolf, KWEC site manager. “The time, location, and cost was right for us to complete this project, and I think we will be able to direct some traffic this way.”
