Results from the Hoisington USD 431 golf tourney

HOISINGTON — The results from the Hoisington USD 431 Foundation golf tournament are:
•All Same Class Alumni Division , for the fourth straight year, Class 85,  shot a 58, Tyler Schremmer - Scott Klug, Tim Boxberger and Scott Polzin.
•Alumni Winners, Jeremy Mason, Steven Euruek,Cody Schremmer and Jacob Morris.
•Women Alumni Winners, D.J. Baird, Mandy Mason, Abby Baird and Cindy Wilborn.
•Open Division: Shot a 58 also, Bruce Cooper, Mark Cooper, Kyle Haxton and Kolten Cook.
Bill Lowry, superintendent of USD 431, said that the tournament raised an estimated $4,000 for the foundation, which provides scholarships to Hoisington High School students.
 
Lamoureaux nominated as ‘Teacher of the Year’
HOISINGTON — Hoisington High School art teacher Christina Lamoureaux has been nominated as “Teacher of the Year” for the school district.
Superintendent Bill Lowry said that she was nominated for her implementation of Character Education and college and career readiness, and tying it all together.
He said that there are six regions in the state, and they will travel to Salina on Saturday to find out any results.
