School to host athletic scholarship seminar

On Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in the new gym at Ellinwood High School, Dr. Ted K. Kessinger will be presenting an athletic scholarship seminar. Dr. Kessinger and two guest speakers will cover topics such as recruitment and the college selection process. During his tenure as head football coach at Bethany College, Dr. Kessinger compiled a record of 219-57-1 in 28 seasons. He coached 400 All-KCAC performers, 49 NAIA scholar athletes, and 43 NAIA All-Americans. His teams finished in the NAIA Top 25 twenty times and made 13 NAIA playoff appearances. Dr. Kessinger has been inducted to the NAIA Hall of Fame, the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, and the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. The event is open to the public. All student-athletes, parents, and coaches are encouraged to attend.
