ELLINWOOD — "A night at the Movies," is this year’s theme of the Ellinwood Mystic Blues After Dinner Theatre which will be held tonight and Saturday night.

"This years show is interesting and fun," said Lori Underwood, Ellinwood High School vocal music teacher.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with homemade desserts being served at the old Gymnasium followed by the show at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium. The cost is $6. Tickets may be purchased from any Mystic Blues member or at the door. The doors open at 6 p.m.

"We will highlight some of the neat songs since music entered movies," said Underwood. "There are some that are just beautiful."

The group has been hard at work not only on the play, but preparing for the regular music festival on Saturday.

The Mystic Blues are an EHS singing and dance group. Membership in the group is only available by tryout.
"The show features many of the group’s singers in solo numbers as well as highlighting the group in large production numbers," said Underwood. "A live combo of Alan Baxter, Lori Underwood and Jeff Underwood will accompany the singers on stage." In addition, Jared Poppelreiter will return to play guitar.

This will be Lori Underwood’s last play with the school.
