ELLINWOOD — St. Joseph Catholic School, along with Catholic Schools across the nation, is gearing up to observe Catholic Schools’ Week Jan. 29 – Feb. 3. The theme for this year’s celebration is "Faith. Academics. Service. Catholic Schools". With a variety of special activities planned throughout the week, students and staff will be busy celebrating the benefits of the Catholic School.

The week begins with an opening Mass on today at 8 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Following Mass, all are invited to attend an Open House in the school. While at the Open House, be sure to visit the Scholastic Book Fair. The Book Fair is one of the highlights for the week-long celebration. It will be set up in the school lunchroom from Jan. 29 through Feb. 3; all are welcome to visit the Book Fair throughout the week.

In addition to the Book Fair, the community is invited to attend a Chamber Coffee hosted by St. Joseph School on Thursday, Feb. 2, beginning at 10 a.m. in the lunchroom.

Other featured activities planned for the week include a student visit to Woodhaven, breakfast with parents, and Valentine’s Cards for Veterans. The action-packed week ends with a visit from Bishop John Brungardt and our Grandparents’ Mass and lunch on Friday, Feb. 3.
