USD 431 hires new football coach, AD

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Board of Education has contracted with Jason Ingram to be head football coach, assistant baseball coach, summer weight conditioning teacher and middle school math teacher at a special meeting on Tuesday. The school also contracted with Joel Mason for half-time athletic director and half-time high school math teacher.

Ingram has been the varsity assistant coach in football in Great Bend since 2002. He was also the head freshmen baseball coach in Great Bend beginning in 2003. He has worked as an elementary school teacher beginning in 1998 as a third grade teacher, and since 2006, as a sixth grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary.

Mason has worked for USD 431 beginning in 2003 as a student teacher, and then as a math teacher at Hoisington Middle school. He has worked as asst. varsity baseball coach, asst. girls varsity tennis and asst. boys middle school basketball coach. He was also involved in American Legion baseball.

•The board accepted the resignation of Patricia Long from HMS/HS math.
