The supplies include toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and chap-stick. The bags will be shared with children who stop by the Oral Health Booth on Oct. 15 at the Wellness Fair. The Hospital was the recipient of a Kansas Health Foundation Youth Endowment grant through Golden Belt Community Foundation. The grant funded the supplies for the take home bags and fluoride treatments. An oral hygienist will available at the booth applying fluoride varnish treatment to childrens teeth with parental consent. Fluoride varnish is a temporary protective coating that is painted on the teeth to help prevent new cavities and to help stop cavities that are already started.
