biz kl art show
This painting, called "Arrested Movement," is by Jacquelyn Fisher, formerly of Hillsboro. Her work will be featured in November at Petr's Frame House.

With a splash of bold and bright colors,  the art show “Drifting Down the Moonlit Path” will highlight the work of artist Jacquelyn Fisher throughout the month of November at Petr’s Frame House, 2009 16th St. A reception will be held at  4:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 29. There is no cost and wine and cheese will be served.
“She does a great representation of her imagination and how it jumps from something more realistic to something more abstract,” said Petr Grigorev, owner of the Petr’s Frame House. “She represents her dreams.”
Even the names she chooses such as “Caught on the Breeze,” “Energy,” “Mists of the Mind, “Instant Memories,” and “Arrested Movement” reflect her ability to flow between the two.
Grigorev has been waiting a full year to have this show. He and his family were driving through Lindsborg when he saw Fisher’s work. Instantly enraptured, he was determined to bring a show here.
From Kansas, Fisher will be back from New York for the show where she is pursuing her goals.
“My style is mostly intended to convey ideas and emotions through color,” said Fisher. She works in acrylic, water color and India ink.
Fisher grew up in Hillsboro and attended college in Chicago, majoring in art.
She is intricately connected to her dream life and her ideas come from them. “I have a dream and write down the main thing as a starting point. I go from there.”
“Every since I was little,” I love to draw, she said. “I would wake up before school started just to draw.”
She would like to make a career out of art. She loves the conversations with others.
“I can express myself through images,” said Fisher. “It’s something I’d like to have throughout my life.”
