An Odin woman was treated and released from Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington following a one-vehicle accident at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday.

Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports Michelle R. Demel, 50, was driving a 2005 Mazda RX-8, which was eastbound in the 1100 block of NE 140 Road. She swerved to miss a deer. The car entered the ditch and came back on the roadway. The driver lost control as the car went airborne and into the north ditch, striking a post and a tree.

Demel was transported to the hospital by Claflin EMS. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
