Ellinwood Police Department Monthly Report - August
Approximately 99 calls for service and 73 officer initiated calls were received for the month of August. Officers responded to nine medical/fire calls. Six arrests were made and seven criminal summons were served in the month of August.

Criminal and Accident Reports:
Aug. 1
A burglary/theft report was taken in the 200 block of E. Santa Fe.
Aug. 2
Brian Franklin was arrested in the 600 block of N. Main on three Barton County Warrants.
Aug. 4
Mae Sanders was issued a notice to appear for junk vehicle.
Aug. 6
Adele Komarek was issued a criminal summons for dog at large.
Aug. 8
An unattended death report was taken in the 400 block of S. Humbolt.
Aug. 11
A counterfeiting report was taken in the 400 block of E. Santa Fe.
Aug. 12
A minor in possession and minor in consumption case was taken in the 400 block of N. Main.    
A hosting minor consuming alcohol case and endangering a child case was taken in the 400 block of N. Main.
Aug. 14
Dalton Staudinger was arrested on a Rice County Warrant for probation violation in the 500 block of S. Humbolt.
Aug. 15
A theft case was taken in the 500 block of W. 6th.
A non-injury accident report was taken in the 200 block of E. Santa Fe.
Aug. 16
Lonnie Mendenhall was arrested for disorderly conduct/ domestic violence in the 200 Block of E. 6th.
Aug. 17
A possession of a controlled substance report was taken in 1100 block of US 56.
A burglary report was taken in the 200 block of N. Bismark.
A child in need of care case was taken in the 100 block of S. Fritz.
Aug. 23
A criminal damage to property report was taken in the 500 block of W. 6th.
A non-injury accident was taken in the 400 block of E. 6th.
Aug. 27
A theft report was taken in the 200 block of E. Santa Fe.
Donna Crow was served a notice to appear for junk vehicle in the 400 block of Beverly Drive.
Jenilyn Moon was served a notice to appear for junk vehicle in the 300 block of W. 1st.
Aug. 28
A criminal threat report was taken in the 100 block of E. 5th.
Aug. 31
Brent Babcock was arrested on a Barton County Warrant for failure to appear, possession of meth and possession of marijuana.
A non-injury accident report was taken in the 500 block of N. Schiller.

Traffic Citations
Aug. 9
Rodney Miller Jr. was cited for expired driver’s license and no insurance in the 100 block of E. C Street.
Aug. 10
Jodie R. Powell was cited for speeding in the 300 block of W. 7th.
James Lyman Jr. was cited for expired tag in the 200 block of E. Santa Fe.
Aug. 15
Kerry Hewitt was cited for inattentive driving, expired tag and no insurance in the 200 block of E. Santa Fe.
Aug. 25
John Hiserote was cited for no insurance in the 400 block of S. Schiller.
