Help sought for July 4 display
Placeholder Image

To celebrate Independence Day on July 4, the City of Great Bend - along with Sunflower Diversified Services and many other sponsors - will host a Community Fireworks Display at the Great Bend Expo Complex. The show is choreographed to music, and will begin at dusk. Sunset will take place at approximately 9:02 p.m., and the show will begin as soon as it is dark enough (around 9:33 p.m.).
Spectators are asked to park at the Expo Grounds to watch the display. Volunteers will be on site to direct spectators to the appropriate parking areas. Viewers can watch their show from their vehicles or stretch out on a blanket or in lawn chairs.
Donations are currently being solicited to help fund this display (no taxpayer dollars are used to pay for the show). Checks can be mailed to Sunflower Diversified Services, 1521 K-96 Highway, Great Bend, KS 67530.
