HUDSON — A 38-year-old Hudson man, Jon Richardson, was stabbed several times on Aug. 12. Pamela Pratt, 37, was arrested in connection with the assault. Richardson was reportedly taken by ambulance to the Stafford County Hospital in Stafford, then flown to Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
The stabbing is believed to have occurred at a Church Street address in Hudson. The victim was found at 206 North Main.
Pratt was arrested for attempted murder, aggravated battery and contempt of court. The incident was said to be a domestic dispute. Richardson suffered four or five slashing wounds from a box cutter-type knife. Stafford County Sheriff’s officers, Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents and others investigated the incident.
Pratt was booked into the Barton County Jail in Great Bend on Aug. 13 with bond set at $1 million. Her first court appearance in St. John was Monday. Her preliminary hearing is reportedly set for Monday, Aug. 23.
An employee at Via Christi/St. Francis said Friday afternoon that Richardson was dismissed from the Wichita hospital on Monday, Aug. 16.
