Stolen vehicle recovered; two sought for questioning

A GMC pickup reported stolen on Friday was found Saturday morning in the area behind Diane’s Diner, 807 10th St. in Great Bend. It was discovered by a Great Bend police officer around 4 a.m. The GMC had plenty of gas and there was also a rifle inside it when it was taken while the owner of the vehicle was farming. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports the gun was also recovered.

Detective Rick Popp at the BCSO said authorities are looking for a man and a woman, who are both considered persons of interest in this case, and in a suspicious fire and the theft of a Ford F-150 pickup from Clark Farms, 633 West U.S. 56, Dundee, which also occurred early Friday. Christopher Wilson, 35, is a white male, 6 feet tall and 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Tia Bolen, 25, is a white female, 5 feet 2 inches, weighing 140 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. They are being sought for questioning.
