Three injured in Ellsworth County rollover

Several people were injured early Saturday when a sport utility vehicle went off K-140 at 28th road in Ellsworth County, 12.7 east of Ellsworth.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Saturn Vue driven by Jonathan S. Berens, 24, of Russell, was westbound on K-140 when it left the roadway at 1:08 a.m. It went off the north side, then came back onto the highway, crossed the center line and went off the south side, then came back onto the roadway, rolling into the north ditch.
No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat.
Berens was not injured. Passenger Xavier Lucas McCulloch, 22, of Russell, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Passengers Cody James Casper, 25, of Hays, and Audra Rae Griffin, 24, of Russell, were taken to Salina Regional Health Center with undetermined injuries.
