“Employees at the Fort wish everyone a very joyous holiday and safe travels, and we are eager to welcome visitors back to Larned’s National Park on Tuesday, December 27,” McMurry said.
Fort Larned will also be closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 and will reopen Tuesday Jan. 3.
McMurry said anyone is welcome to shop for last-minute Christmas gifts by Saturday.
“The Fort’s bookstore, operated by the Western National Parks Association, is stocked with items that make great gifts,” he said. “Any visit to Fort Larned can easily include the Santa Fe Trail Center and other area attractions.”
