LARNED — Nineteen Larned High School entries earned a I rating and qualified for state competition in Saturday’s Class 3-1A music regional for solo and small emsembles at Larned High School. Class 1A, 2A and 3A schools competed at the regional.
The Larned entries will compete at the Class 3A State Music Festival April 30 at Southeast of Saline High School in Gypsum.
Larned’s state qualifiers are:
Gina Wray — Flute Solo, Vocal Solo.
Jessica Johnson — Vocal Solo, Alto sax Solo.
Marla Bethke — Cello Solo, Vocal Solo.
Woodwind Choir.
Brass Quartet.
Percussion Ensemble.
Rachael Herter — Vocal Solo.
Joelle Keith — Vocal Solo.
Sarah Liston — Tenor sax Solo.
Bryce Gevara — Snare drum Solo.
Haley Roberts — Vocal Solo.
Michael Wysong — Trombone Solo.
Gabriel Cowell — French Horn Solo.
Derik Trimmer — Trumpet Solo.

Larned had 30 entries. Entries who earned III ratings are Women’s 4 Vocal Quartet; and Sydney Neimeyer — Alto Sax Solo.
Entries who received a II rating are Brass Choir; Nolan Allison — Alto Sax Solo; Sydney Neimeyer — Bari Sax Solo; Gina Wray — Flute Solo; Lindsey Higgins — Flute Solo; Sydney Neimeyer —Vocal Solo; Erin Padilla — Vocal Solo; and Women’s 3 Vocal Trio.
