The Larned community has been "wonderful, supportive, active," in its relationship with Larned Healthcare Center, Alisha Heyen told attendees at last Thursday’s Chamber Coffee Hour, hosted by LHC. She said results of an August survey of the facility were good. The healthcare center now has open dining for breakfast, from 6:30 to 9 a.m. This means residents do not have to be ready to dine at a certain time, but can "come and get it" any time in that 2 1/2-hour period.

Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with choices from two different menus, she said.

Heyen told of some of the facility’s plans for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She introduced her therapy staff: Terry Bieberle, rehabilitation coordinator; Kim Salmans, PTA; Deea Paff, OTA; Elvin Witthuhn, speech therapist, and Kathy Glover, OT (occupational therapist).
