LARNED — The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order at 1 p.m. May 4 by President Charles Wonsetler.
In addition to Charles Wonsetler, the following board members were present: Betty Tauscher, secretary; Thelmarie Wilhite, historian and Roger Haberman, reporter. Also present was Bobbie Sharrock. Absent were Marylee Phinney, vice president; Jim Forrest, treasurer; and Ernie Ashley, financial secretary.
Betty Tauscher gave the treasurer’s report. All bills were allowed.
The next carry in-dinner is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Sunday with Valeta Milhon and Roger Haberman being the hosts. Baked potatoes and toppings for the potatoes will be furnished. Those attending need to bring salads, vegetables or desserts and bring a friend. There will be a card party following dinner for those that have no other plans for the afternoon.
The carry-in dinner held April 10 had a very good turnout, and as usual, a lot of wonderful food. Betty Tauscher and Charles Wonsetler were the hosts.
June 4 will be the date of the Garage and Bake Sale for 2011. Please start saving items to donate to this worthy cause. We do not want clothes, shoes or any broken items. Monies from this sale will be used to help fix the roof and improve the appearance of the entrance way into the Welcome Inn.
The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m. and next Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. meeting is scheduled June 1 about 12:45 p.m.
