Framed by frost-coated trees, a swan takes a chilling swim around Veterans Memorial Lake Wednesday afternoon. Joined by a fellow swan, the two were the only inhabitants of the park. The storm and bitter cold temperatures left roads and sidewalks slick. After a chance of freezing drizzle over the night, the National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny conditions today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 21. Wind chill values could be as low as -10. It will be blustery, with a north-northwest wind 17 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
