Grace Community Church begins its 2012-2013 AWANA program for children on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 6:30 p.m.
AWANA is a dynamic, fun-filled program for children from age 3 years through the sixth grade, said Grace member Kim Eckels. It teaches them God’s Word and trains them to serve Him.
AWANA meetings will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesdays, September through May, in the fellowship center of Grace Community Church, 210 McKinley St. Children attending should enter through the north doors on the east side of the building.
Meetings are filled with scripture memorization, games and Bible lessons. Other activities include annual box car races and service projects.
Registration packets are available at the church or can be filled out at the first regular meeting on Sept. 5.
