Heartland Center for Spirituality will host the retreat “Finding God in Nature” Oct. 20-21.
This overnight retreat will begin on Friday night at 6:15 p.m. with the movie “Winged Migration,” part of the Movies with a Message series. On Saturday, participants will spend times in prayerful appreciation of God’s creativity in nature through times of quiet, nature walks, a trip to Cheyenne Bottoms and other meditative exercises.
If people would like to bring a camera, and find God in nature through the lens, there will be some contemplative photography exercises available as well.

The Movies with a Message series continues tonight with “Promised Land” and Oct. 20 with “Winged Migration.” Movies begin at 6:15 p.m. and are viewed in the Dominican Sisters of Peace Great Bend Motherhouse Auditorium, 3600 Broadway Ave. Freewill donations are taken for refreshments.
