Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend will show the 2009 movie “The Blind Side” as part of the continuing “Movies with a Message” series. It will be shown at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the Dominican Sister Motherhouse, 3600 Broadway Ave.
The movie is based on the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All-American football player and first-round pro football draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family.
Refreshments will be served, and there will be discussion time after the movie. A freewill donation is requested.
Upcoming movies in the series are “Groundhog Day,” “A man for all Seasons,” “Romero” and “Babette’s Feast.
