Surrendered Family Ministries invites everyone to take part in observing the 62nd Annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2.  This year’s theme, “Pray for America,” is based on Matthew 12:21 “In His name the nations will put their hope.”
In observance of the National Day of Prayer, an area-wide event will be held at 7 p.m. May 2 at the Crest Theater, 1905 Lakin Ave.  The event will consist of prayer and worship, an area-wide choir and music by harpist Carole Harris. A sign language interpreter will be present.
A choir practice will be held this Sunday for anyone who would like to take part in the area-wide choir at the National Day of Prayer observance. Event coordinator Marcie Smith with Surrendered Family Ministries said the practice will be held at 3 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 601 South Patton Road.
Each year millions of believers across America join together to gather, worship, and pray on the National Day of Prayer. It is a significant occasion on which Americans lay aside cultural, racial and denominational differences and join hearts in acknowledging God.
Surrendered Family Ministries encourages all to participate in this opportunity and also for as many churches or individuals that can to hold their own National Day of Prayer observance at noon on May 2.
