The Heartland Center for Spirituality announces a retreat for individuals preparing for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) into the Catholic church. It will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the center in Great Bend.
The Great Bend retreat will be in English, but it will also be offered in Spanish and English on Feb. 15 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral in Dodge City. Registration for either event will be held between 8:45 and 9:15 a.m.
Presenters will be Ann Axman and Judy Spangler (English); and Sisters Maria Elena Martinez-Sifuentes, MCMI, and Rene Weeks OP (Spanish).
Registration is $55 per parish and $15 per person. Register for the Dodge City retreat by Jan. 31 or register for the Great Bend retreat by Feb. 7.
This retreat is a time of reflection and prayer with others who are also engaged in the RCIA program. It is designed as a preparation for the Lenten scrutinies but not intended to replace the scrutiny process in the parish. This RCIA retreat is for catechumens, candidates, sponsors and teams as part of the recommended RCIA formation process for the Diocese.
To register contact Ann Axman at the Heartland Center for Spirituality by calling 620-792-1232  or send email to office@heartlandspirituality.org.
