Alexandrea Arriola Nicole Phillips of Great Bend, was honored at the annual Seminary Graduation of the Salina Kansas Stake (an area similar to a Parish) on May 13. This young woman completed the four year program, which required her to attend 6 a.m. classes each day before going to her regular high school classes. These early morning classes were taught by volunteers, Alicia Carlton and John Berkheimer under the direction of Sterling Knapp, Stake President and Seminary and Institute coordinator. To graduate, each student had to pass courses in Church history and doctrine, as well as show a mastery of scriptures in the Old and New Testaments, the Book of Mormon and other standard works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Certificates of graduation were presented to 15 students at a ceremony held at the Salina Stake Center located at 845 S. Ohio St. in Salina, Kansas on May 13th.
