What comes to mind when you think of Thanksgiving? Do you picture a time of thankfulness toward God — or is it merely one of eating, partying or watching football?  On this holiday, a Thanksgiving meal is prepared with all the trimmings; families gather together and talk, while others watch a game or a parade filled with pilgrims, Indians and giant cartoon characters. Some families may even have their own yearly Thanksgiving traditions.
You are invited to continue your tradition of thanksgiving and worship by joining us at Trinity Lutheran Church or start a new tradition this year by gathering with us at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2701 24th St, Great Bend and give thanks for friends, family and good fortune on Wednesday, Nov. 27,  at 7 p.m.
At Trinity this year we will host an Ecumenical Thanksgiving service on the eve of Thanksgiving. Our guest preacher will be the Rev. Joan Harrington, pastor of Central Baptist Church. Pastor James Strasen will be the presiding minister. Our Joyful Praise Ringers and our Chancel Choir will provide special musical offerings for our worship.
Recall what Paul wrote: “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:20).  You are WELCOME at Trinity Lutheran Church.
