The Barton County Historical Society will host a retirement reception for Beverly Komarek from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, at the BCHS Museum and Village, located at 85 South U.S. 281, just south of the Arkansas River bridge in Great Bend.

Komarek served as the executive director of the museum for more than 20 years before retiring at the end of 2018.
