SUSANK – The Russell Rural Water District No. 3 annual meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at its office, 121 Main in Susank.

This will be a small meeting going over the audit from the accountants from 2019-2020 and helpful information of the new billing system, District Manager Jamie Tomlinson said. There is also one open position up for election since the three-year term is up for Shawn Woydziak. Woydziak has expressed interest in continuing to work for the customers of the district. 

In March of 2022, the plan is to have a much larger meeting and include all the updates for the new infrastructure for the water supply.

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly signed executive order 12-05 that suspended the requirement that rural water districts hold their annual meetings before April 1, Tomlinson said. The order also allowed the rural water districts to delay the meeting until Oct. 1.
