Monday, 6:45 p.m. : Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived at the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium shortly before several hundred children and their families showed up on Monday evening. Naturally, the Grinch wasn’t far behind them.

• Santa’s Workshop Monday, Dec. 5 – 6-8 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium at Lakin and Stone – use doors on the southwest corner of the auditorium. A Great Bend Recreation Commission tradition. Suitable for children from preschool through sixth grade and their families. Preschoolers may also attend a Mini Santa’s Workshop in the Burnside Room at the Rec Center, 1214 Stone St. Enter through the northeast door.
